Inland Irvine summers are hotter and drier than on the coast, and the skin tends to answer with dullness, clogged pores and dehydration lines. For most clients from Irvine Aida starts gentle, with a lactic or almond (mandelic) peel, and only moves to stronger acids once the skin barrier is steady.
Clients come from Woodbridge, Turtle Rock, Northwood, Quail Hill and the Great Park neighborhoods. Many are UC Irvine students, Spectrum and Irvine Business Complex professionals. The studio is in Irvine by John Wayne Airport. Free parking on site, open every day from 8 AM to 9 PM.
Fall and winter are the best peel season in Orange County: the sun is lower and it is easier to protect fresh skin. A typical course is 3 to 6 peels, 2 to 4 weeks apart. Light peels mean 1 to 3 days of mild flaking, not a week at home.
When to wait: A peel is not the right choice during active cold sores, open wounds, sunburn, within 6 months of oral isotretinoin, or during pregnancy for retinol and salicylic peels. If any of these apply, Aida will suggest a facial or LED session instead.

| Peel | Best for | Strength | Typical flaking |

| Lactic | Dry, dull, sensitive skin | Gentle | Little or none |
| Almond (mandelic) | Darker or reactive skin, mild acne | Gentle | Little or none |
| Glycolic | Texture, dullness, early lines | Medium | 1 to 2 days |
| Acne (salicylic blend) | Breakouts, clogged pores | Medium | 1 to 3 days |
| Pigmentation | Sun spots, melasma, dark marks | Medium | 2 to 4 days |
| Retinol | Aging skin, uneven texture | Medium | 2 to 4 days |
| Carbon | Large pores, oily skin, glow before an event | Gentle | None |
For the first 3 to 5 days, wash with a gentle cleanser, skip scrubs, retinol and acids, and do not pick at flaking skin. Wear SPF 30 or higher every day for at least two weeks, a hat at the beach, and avoid hot yoga, saunas and long sun exposure for 48 hours. Most light peels mean 1 to 3 days of mild flaking. Makeup is fine from the next day. Questions after your visit? Text Aida at (949) 444-6191.
