Results are visible right away and last about 3 to 4 weeks. Most clients repeat every 4 weeks. Facial hair grows back the same, not thicker or darker. For hair you want gone for good, ask about electrolysis.

How a visit goes

1. Skin check. Aida checks for breakouts and sensitivity and asks about retinoids.
2. Cleanse and dry. Skin is cleansed and fully dried so the blade glides evenly.
3. Dermaplaning. A sterile single-use blade is held at a low angle and moved in short, light strokes.
4. Soothe and protect. Calming serum, moisturizer and SPF. LED can be added for extra calm or glow.

Aftercare

How to choose a provider near Lake Forest

• The blade must be sterile and single-use, opened in front of you.
• Only a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician should do it in California.
• A good provider will refuse to dermaplane over active acne.

Getting to the studio from Lake Forest

From Lake Forest the drive is about 12 minutes, north on the 5 or the 405. The studio is in the Irvine Business Complex near John Wayne Airport, at 18021 Sky Park Circle, Suite N, with free parking right outside. Rush hour on the 405 and 55 can add 10 to 15 minutes, so many Lake Forest clients book early mornings, evenings until 9 PM or weekends.
